      We faciltate moves to or from the Greater Ottawa Area within 500 km from our Ottawa Office . Our partners facilitate moves from coast to coast. We only partner with companies that share our standards, ethics and our drive for customer satisfaction.

      We consider any move that starts or ends more then 100 kilometers from Ottawa's City Hall to be a long-distance move. Pricing for these moves is based on an hourly rate for loading the contents onto the truck and then offloading at the destination plus a charge for travel time. The charge for travel time, for a long-distance move, is billed at a rate per kilometer one way (depending on the size of the crew and truck)or one hour at the contracted rate (whichever is greater). This charge covers the cost of getting the crew to the job, travel between locations, refuelling, and returning to the office at the end of the job. Charging for travel time in this manner allows customers to better predict the cost of the move as they do not have to worry about how long the drive will take. Poor weather conditions, accidents, and detours causing delays will not affect the customer when paying by the kilometer.

      For example: You hire a 2-man moving crew at $100/hour to move your home. Your move starts in Ottawa at 8:00 AM and the crew finishes loading by 11:00 AM. Your crew starts unloading at your new home in Toronto at 5:00 PM and finishes at 7:00 PM. The elapsed time for your move is 5 hours. You are billed for travel time at $2.85 km for 440 km.
Your bill totals to 5 hours x $100 = $500 (move) + $1254 (travel) = $1754 + tax.

      For smaller moves, the above charges for travel time can be reduced by uo to 30% through flexability on your part. We usually do consolidated moves to Toronto and the GTA a few times a month with stops along the 401 corridor. If you are able to be flexible on the timing of your move, this may allow you to share the cost for travel time with another customer. This also applies if we can manage to co-ordinate a move returning from your destination city.
